Why use plastic on heavy duty construction equipment?

Timco's plastic materials are selected specifically for each part and are surprisingly strong and durable. They are light weight, corrosion resistant and easily machined to fit specific equipment. The plastic materials cause very little wear on the contacted surface. Wire rope will last to two to three times longer when plastic sheaves are used instead of steel.
